Description
With a gentle spice and a savoury edge this wine is complex yet approachable and lends itself to a long evening spent unravelling it's intricacies.
'A reasonably priced, Sangiovese from the southern part of an often unreasonably priced region. We like the fresh, supple, sour-cherry fruit, together with some of the smoky, spicy elements, but the oak is surprisingly insistent, considering that only 20% of the wine was barrel-aged and the barrels weren't new. It may be that the oak and chewy tannins just need a bit more time to integrate.' 85 points, The Wine Gang
