    Frequently Asked Questions

How do I find out if you deliver to me?

We deliver to postcodes throughout the whole of the UK with some exceptions in the Highlands and Northern Ireland.

    Do you charge for delivery?

Delivery is free of charge as long as your order is over £16.45. If you do want to order less than this we will need to charge £5.95 for the delivery.

Is there a minimum order amount?

There is no minimum order required but to qualify for free delivery your order will need to be at least £16.45. Orders below this will have a delivery charge of £5.95

Can I just do a one off order?

Yes you can opt to try us out by ordering a one-off order, or you can have your order delivered weekly, fortnightly, or monthly and you can change the frequency at any time in the My Account section.

Can I make amendments to my order?

Yes, you can make amendments in the My Account section up to the cut off time for your delivery

Can I tell you what items I do not want in a produce box?

Yes simply add products to your dislikes. To do this go to any of the set boxes, click through to the product page for that box and there you will see a 'preferences' box where you can add and save your dislikes.

Can I Skip items in my order?

Yes if you have still got lots of something left over, you can simply skip that item on your next order. Simply go to the My Account, then Manage Orders & Account from here in the Subscriptions or Delivery Schedule, find the order in question and select the items you wish to skip. We will remove these items from your next order and carry on delivering them in any subsequent orders.

    What if I’m not in?

When you place your order you can leave delivery instructions for our drivers, they can then leave your box in a safe place if you happen to be out.

Do you use a courier company?

We use a combination of our own drivers and couriers. Broadly speaking orders in London are done by our own drivers and for those outside we have partnered up with DPD.

    Are my payment details secure?

We use the latest industry-standard 128-bit SSL encryption security. This SSL encryption prevents any third party from seeing any personal information that is passed between your computer and the Organic Delivery Company website. Our staff will at no time be able to view your credit card details, these are encrypted and held with the leading payment gateway provider Sagepay.

    Is everything Organic?

Yes, 100% of our fresh fruit and vegetables are organic, and all our other food grocery items are also organic.

We do sell some household cleaning and personal hygiene lines that are not certified organic.

    Where is your produce from?

We buy British produce when at all possible and only then from further afield so we can offer you a great range and extended seasons . There are certain items we can’t source from Britain such as Olive oils but we apply the same rigorous standards when choosing which producers we source from. A list of our farmers, producers and suppliers can be found on our web site.

    What packaging do you use?

We do all we can to reduce the need for packaging and where ever possible don’t use any at all. Where packaging is absolutely necessary we work hard to ensure the most environmentally available alternative is used. We always welcome feedback from our customers as to how we can make further improvements.

Can I give the driver back any packaging?

Yes we can pick up your used boxes every time you have a delivery and we will re-use if possible. Just leave the empty ones outside for the driver (or give to him) each time.

Why should I shop with you and not a supermarket?

The Organic Delivery Company is committed to sourcing organic, fair-trade and ethically produced products. We are a small independently owned company who believe passionately about the organic principles of farming and it's benefits to our health and the health of our planet.

We love to work with like minded growers and producers, both here and abroad, to bring you a fantastic range of food and household items. We believe strongly in supporting British Farmers and by from our UK growers when ever possible.

We stick by our ‘50/50 Philosophy’ - better for one of our drivers to deliver to 50 homes in geographical order, than for 50 people to head out to the shops. (Research by DEFRA shows that people travelling to the shops create a staggering 70% of all food miles).
